goDCgo is proud to be a part of our community, and we’re always looking for ways to promote transportation options that are both healthy for you and good for the environment. That’s why we’re pleased to announce two exciting events this weekend for you to enjoy with friends or family to get you amped up about alternative ways to get around town.
Feet in the Street
Saturday, August 28, from 9 AM to 3 PM
Ft. Dupont Park, Washington DC
Normally, the streets in this area are not open for recreation. But on this Saturday only, the National Park Service, in partnership with DDOT, will close the streets to traffic and allow you to frolic to your heart’s content. So come on out—bring your friends and families to walk, run, bike or play. For a detailed list of events, visit goDCgo.com/FeetintheStreet. We hear it’s going to be sunny and 85 degrees, so you don’t want to miss this!
Hill and Go Seek
Saturday, August 28, beginning at 5 PM
Eastern Market Plaza at 8th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue
If you’re itching for a little friendly competition on a Saturday night, you have to check this one out. It’s a bike race AND a scavenger hunt. As an added bonus, all proceeds will go to Ready, Willing & Working, a nonprofit that helps put individuals who have suffered hardship and homelessness back on the path to self-sufficiency. Again, it looks like it will be balmy and rain-free. For additional information, visit hillandgoseek.eventbrite.com/. Hope to see you there!
