It's National Bike Month!

May is National Bike Month. Why not get outside and enjoy Washington, DC on two wheels? A simple way to start is by commuting to work on your bike or exploring new trails on the weekend.

If you want to get the whole family involved, try biking to school with your children or encourage them to bike to school with their friends. Bicycling to school keeps kids active and helps them form healthy habits that can last a lifetime. Plus, it will get them energized for a fun day of school!

Here are some other ways to celebrate National Bike Month:
      • National Bike Challenge 2018: Take your biking experience to the next level by participating in Love to Ride's National Bike Challenge.  Registration is FREE, so tell your friends and colleagues to join you for a fun, friendly challenge from May through September. Rally your team and ride!
      • Bike to Work Day 2018: Register for Bike to Work Day on May 18 - the first 20,000 registrants will receive a free t-shirt. Be sure to stop by goDCgo's pit stop in Anacostia
      • DC Bike Ride 2018: DC Bike Ride is the only day you can adventure around DC by bike with no cars. Register for this exciting event on May 19
      • Take a WABA cycling class: Are you new to cycling? The Washington Area Bicyclists Association offers cycling classes for bikers of all levels. Whether you're a seasoned cycler or just starting out, WABA has a class for you.
